Zoë & Bobby radiate a genuine, lighthearted nature. Their trust for us and the vendor team was paramount to creating their elegant floral. The wedding was held at the historic Chicago Athletic Association, a landmark of Gothic architecture. Vintage stained glass, floor to ceiling windows with a picturesque view of the city skyline, and detailed oak carvings are only a few of the traits that make this hotel a stunning choice for a wedding venue. Mirroring the style of the White City Ballroom, we included tall, dramatic, arching calla lilies to line the aisles. As we’re always aiming to make the most of our floral designs, we repurposed these striking arrangements to accent their sweetheart and cake table. Zoë’s bouquet was a fragrance-filled beauty, designed with sweet pea, garden roses, and stock flowers. After the first look, they took to the city streets to pose inside the iconic Art Institute of Chicago. During cocktail hour, guests browsed the couples mini museum with memorabilia and stories from their first trip, favorite wine bar, and more special memories to honor their relationship. The reception was decorated with ivory candles and arrangements designed in contemporary silver vases. Though they’re back in Seattle, this wedding was purely Chicagoan.
